Bridge Building

As a result of the meeting at the May Launch, we determined the weekend of
May 30 & 31 will be when we are going to build our bridges. We will be
constructing 3 bridges. 2 log (with planking) and 1 barrel (with planking).
We will need every able bodied person we can muster to help. We will be
cutting down trees, limbing, dragging and positioning them. We'll be cutting
wood, planking the logs and anchoring them. We'll also be framing the
barrel bridge, decking it, and testing it. :-) With a lot of help and a
little luck, we should be able to get it done in one weekend.

picnic launch

Picnic launch and election of officers.

Saturday was very wet and only one research flight was made in the afternoon. Thank you Syracuse folks for coming. The launch on Sunday Sept 7. was well attended and was also blessed by a little liquid sunshine. Lots of rockets went up and they all came down! Some in pieces and some are playing hide and seek. New officers were elected after the picnic and I will do the best that I can in the position of president.

Mike Dutch was instrumental in the set up, running of and clean up for this launch. Thank you Mike and I am looking forward to learning how easy you make this look. Many thanks to those who stayed to the end and helped to pack up the PYRO trailer for winter storage.

The dates for next years launches will be posted soon. Also check out the Co-Host LDRS on the News Page. I also have several ideas that I will be discussing with the rest of the officers and then if approved we will bring them to the rest of the membership for discussion and approval. Please be patient with the new officers as we are learning the ropes. This organization is here to benefit it’s current and future members and it will take involvement from all of us if it is to flourish.

Please feel free to contact myself for general ideas or Mike Sprague for outreach ideas. I am looking forward to spending more time getting to know as many of you as I can and also trying to remember you names, I am terrible with names and spelling so don’t forget your name tags. Mike can they be made with BIG BOLD print please ????

Again; Thank you to every one.

PYRO President

New Membership Rates for 2008!!

To All,
The PYRO BOD has decided to make some necessary changes in our membership dues and range fees for all who come to fly rockets with us.
It seems that a fact in life is that everything always cost more and more to do. Look at the price for gasoline just as an example.

Well, the PYRO BOD has decided that we too must make some changes, so we have decided to lower our fee structure across the board.

After all, this is suppose to be a fun hobby that everyone in the whole family can enjoy, isn't it?

The following changes will take place immediately:
