PYRO.WS Welcome to PYRO
Posted by blastoff on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 (14:07:16) (1179 reads)

Welcome to PYRO - Potter Youth Rocketry Organization. PYRO is a group of individuals that like to fly low to high power hobby rockets. Members enjoy free flight registration for all PYRO launches. Everyone is welcome to fly or just bring a chair and watch. We have members as young as 2 years old, and as old as, well, you get the picture. You never know what will fly at the Potter site. PYRO also
reaches out to the community to assist Boy Scout, Girl Scout, 4H, and youth group launches on a regular basis. At every launch there is an assortment of low altitude, low power flights. Sometimes high power flights to 23,000 feet in altitude on site.We invite you to come out and see us at any of our
launches and stop in our online store to get geared up for the trip to Potter. See you there.

    LDRS 28 Bridge Building
Posted by blastoff on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 (19:48:50) (405 reads)

As a result of the meeting at the May Launch, we determined the weekend of
May 30 & 31 will be when we are going to build our bridges. We will be
constructing 3 bridges. 2 log (with planking) and 1 barrel (with planking).
We will need every able bodied person we can muster to help. We will be
cutting down trees, limbing, dragging and positioning them. We'll be cutting
wood, planking the logs and anchoring them. We'll also be framing the
barrel bridge, decking it, and testing it. :-) With a lot of help and a
little luck, we should be able to get it done in one weekend.
